Other than that, I went camping this past weekend from Friday to Monday, which was actually a lot of fun. Matt and I, his parents and his sister Amanda and her husband all went camping and we made so much food, it was AWESOME. On Saturday Matt and I went to King's Island which was ridiculous fun times, it was so hot, we rode the Canyon River Rapids twice in a row and after riding some sweet coasters, headed over to the water ride section, which was so awesome! I love water rides :D The lazy river was nice, I wish it was longer, soo relaxing.

After that it's back to getting a job XP hee hee, I'm not too worried now, I have quite a few places to look into, and after applying to a few at first, Radio Shack called me back the DAY I applied, but I couldn't work all the hours he wanted me to, so I had to decline, oh the sadness. But I hope to get a job somewhere else, I'm still praying for the Gamestop job, but I know I have a snowballs chance in hell to get a job at a game store ;_;

Hey there everyone! Here's a quick con report before I go to sleep.

Tekko was really boring this year, part of it was that the programming was terrible, no good panels or workshops. And the other part that all the people I came to the con with had an art table to sit at. The game room was abysmal this year, no Para Para and the lines for DDR, Guitar Hero and Soul Calibur made me sad.

Here was the cosplay line up this weekend: Sei on Friday, from Burst Angel with Marce as Jo, Steph as Meg, Mao as Amy, and Bobbee as Maria.

Next on Saturday was I-No, a repaired version from Ohayocon 2007, so it was a bit more comfortable. Unfortunately I forgot my guitar so I got a X-Box Guitar Hero controller, luckily Mr. George decided to buy it from me. We were in a big group with Marce as Dizzy, Steph as Baiken, Bobbee as Abba, and Mr. George as Faust.

Finally, on Sunday I was Chun Li, a costume I've been wanting to do for a long time, this one was not a group cosplay. I played some DDR in it, and I tried to get into a Soul Calibur III tournament but the tourneys were so badly organized that I couldn't find out when it was or where I could sign up for it.

So sad day, it wasn't a horrible con, just so mediocre it was tedious and boring most of the time.

Oh well, Directions is soon and I look forward to being able to relax a bit after that. Still have to print a bunch of business cards, so off to Kinkos with me someday this week.

For those of you who are wondering why my name on the site isn't Jackie Tracey, it's because I'm getting married pretty soon and figured it would be easier to be known by my married name from the get go, plus Risk is a little shorter than Tracey :D

Anyhoo, I'd love to get some opinions on the look of the site and the actual content as well. I know Mao thinks my Bio/ Contact picture looks scary, but I like it! I think it captures my slightly horrifying essence.

In other news, the school year is winding down and I'm pretty excited. A year ago I was really scared because I didn't know where my style was or where I wanted to go, I feel alot more secure with myself as an artist and where I want to be in the world. I'm feeling an odd feeling of calm now, which is strange considering now is the time when the heat should really be coming. I don't know if its senioritis and my laziness is overriding my sense of worry, or I'm actually doing well.

Also with the end of this semester is the end and beginning of things. The end of college life, the end of single life, the end of a few friendships, or at least a distancing of friends. But along with all those comes the promise of a new life, being married, trying to get a real career in the real world, meeting new people and making new friends, seeing a new country (if all goes well).

Matt will learn if he got accepted into JET soon, and I'm very excited for him, for his sake I hope he gets in. It will be an awesome opportunity in his learning of the language and culture, and added bonus- I get to stay in Japan with him! I'm sending you my prayers love, best of luck!

To all my true friends, Sarah especially, I'm going to miss you all terribly and even though I really want to go to a new country to experience a new culture, and a new cuisine >) I'm gonna miss all the friends I made along the way. Take care of yourselves folks, you'll be in my thoughts.

I'm gonna miss DnD, I'm such a nerd! XD I'm gonna miss cons with friends, I'm gonna miss the good and bad movies and shows we watched. It's going to be a bittersweet summer, I can tell you that.

The con overall was small and a bit boring, as I expected but hanging out woth friends made it worth it. Searching for the non-existant Continental Breakfast and whatnot! Oh pancakes, why? I played a bit of DDR. And I watched some game shows with Matt although we couldn't win anything ;_; Not that the prizes were all that great anyway -_-;

Other than a serious lack of stuff to do, I ended up buying a case for my DS games and a DVD. Alot of stuff, cuz usually I don't buy anything at cons, but I was bored hee hee.

Anyhoo... I'll prolly upload all the pics I took on Cosplay.com at some point. I'm still unloading pics from A-Cen and Otakon on there ^^; I'll finish eventually!

Also on an ending note: NOVEMBER 18th! is my b-day party, nobody is allowed to forget! Come for free numnums at the very least. Anyhoo, I'm off to work on homework. Can't wait for Thanksgiving vacation!

Hey everyone!

Thought I'd let you know that my moped was claimed successfully, I need to get a badass picture of me riding it or something. It's totally sweet. <333 This weekend was fun and busy at the same time. Friday, Sarah and I called and looked up an assload of different moped places, none of which would answer our calls, we finally had to go to the one near my house called Zoot Scoots. I ended up having to get a Ohio license and a motorcycle permit to drive it on Saturday. Finally I got to relax with Matt Saturday night and most of Sunday <333 Love love love chu!

Monday though, I gotta go get the title papers notorized and stuff but nothing too major, get tags and all that, but it should be all good.

Other than that I'm still working on my Sugoicon costumes Skuld, Shana, and Yuri. I'm super excited to go a con, after all this schoolwork and whatnot, I'm ready to go chill at a con with some AMVs and stuff.

I haven't updated in quite a while and alot of stuff has happened since then, so thought I'd update.

Let's see first off, my bike was stolen from school about 2 weeks ago. I had it chained to a parking meter outside of Circle Hall, which is in a less reputable part of campus. When I came out after 2 classes (about 5-6 hours) it was gone! ;_; Oh well, the brakes were shot, the handlebars were bent and the whole bike was over 7 years old, so I figured although inconvenient, it was about time I got a new mode of transportation anyway.

On a happier note, I am getting a moped this Friday the 13th (oooooh!) In the meantime, Sarah has lent me her bike, which gets me where I need to go, which is all I can ask for. I'm very excited to get the moped, although my dream has always, and still is to own and drive a golf cart, this is a close second. ^_^

Matt is visiting this weekend, yay! <333 I enjoy the company and I miss him so terribly. My schedule this semester has me at school until 9pm most days, so I don't get to spend much time with friends or roomies, sadly.

November hails the coming of Thanksgiving and my birthday, more specifically my 21st! I'm planning a friendly get together for nummies and games and fun times the Saturday before Thanksgiving, hopefully before everyone leaves to hang out with family and such. The date of that Saturday is the 18th of November. Everyone on my friends list that are in the area should totally attend! Nick, invite Blandor and even Brent (the Skidmark). Matt-chu, that should be a no-brainer, Eva and Sarah of course, my housemates should totally stick around for the fun, Sakie you better come too. LEE don't fail me this year! Liz, if you're in the neighborhood, drop in! Last year I had a get together the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and everyone was still hanging out at home. So sad! Also! No one should feel compelled to get me any gifts, maybe just bring nummies, or drinks for the get together. Or whatever, I plan on getting pizza and snackies for delicious num num times!

Other than that, I've been working on Skuld and Shana for Sugoicon Oct 27-29, I haven't started working on Yuri yet, but Shana is almost done, just need to hem the bottom and make a bow, and finish the skirt. Skuld needs lined and cuffs added, but she's doing pretty well too.

Other than that, I look forward to Thanksgiving nummies and I'm super excited for moped day!

OOH, updatey!

I haven't updated in forever and felt the boredom and let it move me to update!

Anyhoo, school is now underway, week number two is midway through and I'm already feeling the old art school pressure in lack of sleep form. I stayed up til 3 am last night finishing some character design homework, then woke up at 7am to go work at the school at 9. PUSHUU-(sound of me deflating) So at 9 I go to the illustration lab to move furniture with Sarah and while we're moving an enormous desk, the bottom bar of it slams into my foot and rips the nail up. (Not off, mind you) so it starts bleeding and we have to call security for first aid. Then I realize, I haven't felt pain that intense in a very long time, while I hold my toe to try and control the bleeding, I started to cry, involuntarily from the pain. Now its 7 hours later and my toe is encased in gauze. I'm feeling just fine now, thank goodness. However, I tell Mr. Tardino what happened, (the illus lab teacher guy) and then he asks me to walk to the other end of campus to pick up a bunch of heavy boards ;_; You jerk. Luckily, Sarah went and did it without me even asking her. <3

Anyhoo, on a happier note, Sugoicon is in October, last weekend of that month, I believe. Costumes in line: Skuld from Ah My Goddess, Shana from Shakugan no Shana, and Yuri from the original Dirty Pair. After that, I'll be able to cut my hair finally! I may try to temp color it for fun, I've always wanted funny colored hair! EXCITED~ I'm also excited about hopefully getting a moped, I have to wait to get my money back, but there is a potential moped in my future, SERIOUS EXCITEMENT! The next best thing to a golf cart!




Let's see, other than that I've been playing alot of FFX-2, which is surprisingly enjoyable, besides the sometimes questionable voice acting and girly-girl interactions. One of the reasons I'm really excited to see what happens in the game is cuz I haven't talked to anyone who actually beat the game, so I have no idea how it ends, good or bad, or what, which hasnt happened in a long time. Most of the games I play are so long after it hit mainstream that theres floating spoilers everywhere. But no one bothered to beat this one I guess..?

Speaking of video games, I've been playing a bit of World of Warcraft. . . oki, by a bit is an understatement. I have a lvl 25 Night Elf Warrior on Thunderhorn, if you're a Wower, come and play with me! Name's Kiyomi. I really enjoy the non stop treasure and questing and leveling up and such. I can't wait til I'm out of school and have more time to play more often!

Also, been working up a storm at Jeni's Ice Cream in Grandview. If you live in the Columbus area, and havent visited either the North Market location, or the one on Grandview Avenue, do yourself a favor and come in and sample some stuff. I have read some publications that have called Jeni's the best ice cream in the country! I just recently worked at the Jeni's booth at a festival in Upper Arlington. It was hot and busy, but fun! I love my coworkers, good, funny people. And, when the festival was just about finished, we went to get some chinese food and they gave us a sweet discount cuz we gave them ice cream. AWESOMENESS.

Lee's B-day is coming up soon, I wanna draw him something but I dont know what. . . I'll have to call him and ask. I hope he doesnt mind.

Hey everybody! Here's another of my rare and precious updates! Like so many pearls hidden deep within the ocean's mysterious depths and stuff. I felt like updating since Otakon is so close and whatnot.

My costumes are progressing wonderfully, I'm very pleased with myself seeing as how Otakon is 8 days away now ^^; And usually I'm working and sewing until the day before, heh heh. So here's the lineup for the con:

On thursday I'm wearing Marron from Sorceror Hunters, that costume is 99.9% complete, I need to finish a hem and that's it!

Friday is Setsuka from Soul Calibur III, she is about 98% done, I need to attach closures to the kimono and she'll be complete.

Saturday is Mitsurugi from Soul Calibur III, he is only 70% complete because of all his armor, but other that armor, he is done.

Finally on Sunday, I'm wearing Saito, from Rurouni Kenshin, which is 100% complete ^o^ woo hoo! Thank Goodness.

I'm really excited about this con, alot of my friends will be there including my lovely Matt-sama! This'll be his first Otakon hee hee, I can't wait to show him around. We all have such sweet events planned, I plan on participating in some game shows, playing in the game room and just seeing all the cosplayers wandering around and take pictures of them! Which reminds me I have to go get pictures off of my digital camera so I can have a fresh memory card for Otakon! ^_^ I'm a picture taking fiend at cons. Well anyhoo, I think I'll go do that now before I forget again. To everyone going to Otakon: I'll see you there! <3

What up folks? I haven't updated in fo-eva, thought I would.

First I have to wish Sakie and Mitsurugi a happy belated birthday, I missed updating on the actual Sakiemas/ Mitsurugimas cuz I was out of town.

Speaking of out-of-towniness, I visited my beloved Matt-sama this past Sakiemas. I got to see lotsa movies, like Nacho Libre (very funny, I enjoy Jack Black's faces lots), Tombstone (Val Kilmer is a rock-rock-awesome cowboy man), Cars (another amazingly animated cute story type pixar film, I enjoyed) THE enD of movieness.

On Saturday, I got to meet Matt's parents and sisters, nice folk, small town but cozy. I love the atmosphere in small towns, it's so familiar and old fashioned. Later that day, we went to his best friend's sister's wedding. And I caught the bouquet!! Hee hee, Matt's face got so red ^_~ There was some dancing, sliding-electric style, free food and some laughs, I enjoyed.

Drive back was long, but fun I enjoyed all the car trippy type traveling with Matt-sama, lots of fun talking and weird conversations. <3<3<3

We got to play some Karaoke Revolution, which roxored, and we made some t-shirts celebrating Sakiemas, which are awesome. I wore mine to work, and got complimented on it! Go figure... (PS: I sold one nakie as FIFTEEN!!1)

Matt-sama, thank you so much for everything this weekend, driving, food, showing me around town, sitting through movies with me you've already seen. Thanks especially for sitting through Amelie, I really appreciated it ^_~ I can't wait for Canada! <3<3<3

I can't wait for the new Pirates of the Carribean(sp?) to come out! Also excited for fireworks! Also also EXCITED for OTAKON!! Hopefully rocking will happen this year, last year was disappointing with having to change in the middle of the day and whatnot :P

I'm REALLLLLY excited for this year's lineup of costumes, I haven't had the chance to make very impressive costumes for myself in a long while, plus I haven't been to a really big con in a long time either. I have high hopes this year! PlUUUS: Steph was wise, and got us the hotel room for Thurs night as well as Fri and Sat, which will make the whole weekend nicer ^o^ HUZZAH!

Lesse.. yesterday I hung out with Sarah and Nick, I started the day by cleaning my room, which it was in desperate need of, then Sarah and I ate some taco delightfulness, then we headed over to Nick's to play some Karaoke revolution and X-Men Legends 2, which rocks multiplayer, I really need to beat that game ;_; Then headed home, watched Black Jack the movie and sat and drew with Marce-wiggle til I went to sleep around 1:30.

I don't think I updated that I got another job! I work at an ice cream parlor now, it's an awesome little shop, ver comfortable. I still work at Joanns on Sundays, but that's all. Mostly for the discount do I still work there ^^; Anyhoo, huzzah for ice cream and fabric!

All in all, life's been good for me so far, until school hits that is ;_; Until then, I will enjoy my brief freedom, only one more year of school left!! I'm gonna be a senior, so scary, I'll finally be done with school after nearly 16 years of it! Ahhh, real life you make me apprehensive. We shall see where fate decides to push me.

Hey folks! Not much going on here, just felt like updating randomly!

I've been watching alot of random movies recently now that school is over and I have a little bit of free time! I've gotten to watch The Boondock Saints all the way through, (for the longest time I've only seen the end half), Mr. and Mrs. Smith, (very cool) The Village, (surprisingly not bad), and the first 5 episodes of GetBackers, which I won for free from Matsuricon. I've also watched the first 4 discs of the Read or Diw TV series and all the OVAs.

Friday is gonna be awesome, I'm going to see X-3 which I've already hear was good, I can't wait! I don't really get a chance to go out and see movies very often so I'm pretty happy!

I've also been working on costume commissions for Otakon, Sakura from Tsubasa is about 45% done, Syoaran's cape is finished. I've recently been comissioned to make a Shizuru from Mai Hime for Stephanya! WooT! I'm so glad she finally gets a chance to go to Otakon. As for my own costumes, Setsuka, Mitsurugi and Dark Link (revamp), I've only started on Setsuka's parasol blade, and that's it. I really have to get started on those soon since they're so complex.

Also to Matt-kun, 1 month WoOOOOT! It's been an awesome month thanks to you my dear! We will have to do that Canada thing here soon, it would be very awesome. Chu!

Anyhoo, I must be off, it's getting late and I hafta work tomorra ;_; Later!

Been quite some time, hasn't it, everyone? I never update ;_; I sorry. I gots lots of new goodies to talk about though!

Let's see what to talk about first? I have alot of important stuff! Well one big relief: School is over for the year, sweet sweet summer how I've longed for you! Thank goodness~~ I was about to explode there soon.

Also huge on the importantness factor, I have a boyfriend! First time in eight years ;_; But it was worth the wait, Matt-kun I heart you so! *ahem* ^_^ A fabulous man, loves anime and sci-fi stuff, will cosplay with me, and is overall awesome, what more could I ask for? Ahh, what a wonderful way to end the school year!

Next up: the con scene- Matsuricon 2006 was a bust, tiny and boring! I barely made enough money to cover the artist table and registration, however I did get to spend it with Matt and Marce-wiggle. A few things made this con not suck: One Marce and I won DVDs in the Anime Win, Lose, or Draw which was awesome! I got the first GetBackers and Marce got Princess Blade. Also I won 1st place in the cosplay contest with Dirge of Cerberus Vincent, WooT!! Marce got 3rd, with her sweet Aeris costume, and two college buddies got second with their Tsubasa cosplay, so in other words CCAD OWNED Matsuricon. It was pretty sweet some of the time.

Next con: A-cen, now this con was AMAZING, so much bigger and better. It's been too long since I've been to a con like this ^_^ Now the only drawbacks: Crappy game room in which you had to PAY to play, which sucks real bad, and no game shows to speak of! ;_; I always love trying to win stuff at cons, but no luck at this one. However: my favorite things to do at cons is take pictures and have pictures taken of me, which happened alot because there were so many good cosplayers!

I got to meet my idol, my role model, my hero Pikmin Link, she was even more stunning in person than in photos! I think I disturbed her with my momentary fangirlness. Now, there are only a few things I fangirl over, my cosplay heros, and Phoenix Wright Cosplay. Which there was at this con, which was awesome! I should have brought my Maya cosplay!



I love Phoenix Wright! ~~~~ heart! Anyhoo. . . I was also Tenma-chan from School Rumble, which sadly only three people recognized me from! It is pretty new though, so I can't blame them. It was a comfortable costume, so I had no complaints. I plan to wear the costume again when I cut my hair so I can be Yakumo. ^_^ I love not having to make another costume. (PS: I sold one nakie as four)



Other than Tenma-chan, I wore Aya Natsume from Tenjo Tenge, an awesome anime. I was running around with a hot-ass Takayanagi and Maya, we rocked hard-core. It was alot of fun, we got alot of recognition as Tenjo Tenge, so it was alot of fun! Later in the night we had a Nagi, and that was sweet too, we had a blast making up poses for pictures. Ps: those socks rocked.



Next convention:

Ikasucon 2006 July 14-16 Still need to register/ get a room ^^; But we plan on getting an artist table there, so hopefully money will be made. Planned cosplay: Shiranui Mai from KoF, Maya from Phoenix Wright, and Aya from Tenjo Tenge. I also hope for a better game room! I really want to play DDR on some hard pads that don't SUCK. So heres to hoping!~~ CHUU Also, game shows for winning free things I hope I hope! Also also, hanging out with my darling!

Otakon 2006 August 4-6 Otakon is also gonna rock. I'm planning on two Soul Calibur III cosplays,(Setsuka and Mitsurugi) and I'm also pulling Dark Link out of the closet for a day now that I've fixed my shield. Otakon has some awesome events, so I'm excited to see what they do this year.

Otakon used to be hands down my favorite con, but I'd have to say that I believe A-cen has taken its place. Otakon was great like four years ago, but its gotten so big and it doesn't have the same warm, cozy con-family feeling. I miss that. A-cen was big, but not so big that you couldn't feel that warm happy con-goer atmosphere. I really enjoyed it, plus the main thing I go to cons for is the cosplay, I was right at home at A-cen.

Well anyhoo, I think that was a hefty enough update for the length of time I was away. For now, I will bid you all a fond farewell, hopefully if you're reading this we'll hang out over the summer or go to a con or play some video games or something!

Hey everybody!

I haven't been on in ages. Not too much to talk about really. Tekkoshocon was lotsa fun, I got to play DDR, I've gotten so much better! I got to try Para Para, which is AWESOME, and I got to play Pump it up, which i haven't played in years, I miss it so. I sold more commissions than prints, but that always happens.

Although, I was somehow the magnet for cosplay assistance. On two occassions did a cosplayer from robotech come to me for help pinning his PANTS up, now he was cute so I had no qualms about it, but I wonder, why me out of the huge line of artist alley people? And then a dude who was the monarch from the venture bros asked me for help too! Isn't that funny? I was happy to help, I just wonder if in costume I look like a helpful person or something...

Anyhoo, I can't wait for school to be over, as usual. Weirdly, I draw for myself more when I don't have school. During school, if I have a free moment, I don't really want to draw. Makes me sad.

Next con coming up is Matsuricon, April 20-23 which I'll have a table with Marce-wiggle. After that, Anime Central, which I'm excited about because I've never been to Illinois, no table there but Marce and Lee say its lotsa fun, and it has a cool asian market place where you can buy pork buns and melon bread! I'm definitely excited about that.

For Matsuri con, I'm gonna wear Tenma, from School Rumble, Maya from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, and Vincent FFVII again, cuz he's awesome.

For A-cen, I'm gonna be Aya from Tenjho Tenge, Mai from KoF, and perhaps Maya again, not sure yet.

Anyhoo, should be a fun couple of months here @_@

School has begun, so I once again have access to a computer!

1st: Thanks to Pooklies for the icons, they're the sweetness! Also, I have pics to upload but I forgot my camera today! >P Tomorrow, I will try to update a picture loaded magical update!

But for now, a more recent, less exciting update.

There are some new costumes I must be prepared for in the near future, so I decided it's time to get in shape!! Mainly my legs, cuz a buncha these costumes consist of short skirts or something similar!

With that goal in mind I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and start playing DDR more often!

Not only does this get my legs in shape, gives me a good overall workout, but I also get better at DDR!

I've been playing for the past two nights in increments of 2-3 hours or more. I started this as a mediocre light mode player and I'm already working on standard mode now! I'm so happy!

Sakie-sensei would be proud!


It's kinda nice being back in school, seeing familiar faces and getting back into the swing of things. Our morning class was short, only a 1/2 hour out of the 3 hour slot, which means plenty of time to be on the compy! Hopefully the other classes of the day are just as brief.


Also! ANYONE WHO OWNS A NINTENDO DS, go and buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney!! It's one of the best game I've playing in a long time! Also: I'm gonna cosplay the psychic girl from it: Maya Fey
